National Long Distance (NLD) Service refers to the carriage of switched bearer telecommunication service over long distance within India.
National Long Distance Service Provider (NLDO) is the telecom operator providing the required digital capacity to carry long distance telecommunication service within the scope of licence for National Long-Distance Service, which may include various types of tele-services defined by the ITU, such as voice, data, fax, text, video, and multi-media etc. WPC allocates frequency spectrum for this service license.
